Who’s Mailing What, powered by Direct Marketing IQ, recently released an infographic which examines the current trends in direct mailing—especially in crosschannel integration between direct mail and email. For example, did you know that “freemiums,” free gifts sent out inside direct mail pieces, are on the rise again after rising mail prices forced companies to cut back? In fact, according to the infographic, 14% more direct mail uses a freemium in 2013 compared to 2011 and 2012.
The infographic also tells us that, across industries, insurance is leading the way in terms of mail personalization—71% of companies in the insurance sector personalize their communications with customers.
