Certification Requirements

I am thinking of becoming a certified marketer. Do you have any certification courses for this?

Whether you are an entry-level marketer or a seasoned professional, joining a certification program means you are serious about your career focus, and want to stay ahead of your peers and competition. The DMA Certification Marketing Professional (DCMP) program allows participants to enhance their career skills, gain recognition, and increase their desirability in a crowded job market – in less time than a traditional degree program.

Why get certified?

By completing your certification, you’re achieving a new marketing status for yourself as well as gaining global recognition as an elite marketer. You can use the DCMP certification logo on your business cards, résumé, or online profile so that as you grow your network, you’ll ensure your qualifications as a knowledgeable marketing professional. This milestone will help you take your career to the next level and benefit you for years to come. Make your mark and become the champion of your organization when you bring this knowledge back into the office and start immediate application of your ideas.

I have completed my DCMP, how can I keep my certification valid?

With our repertoire of in-person, on-demand, and live online courses, we will provide the expertise you need in a variety of marketing areas to get up-to date and ahead of your competition. Take 10 continuing education units (CEUs) per year to keep your certification valid and up-to-date — pick from webinars, live online courses, in-person courses, conference sessions, or even additional online modules. Look for the CEU count on each course outline page.

How long do I have to meet the requirements to stay certified?

One year from DCMP completion, or until Dec. 31, 2018.

Email Opt-Out

I would no longer like to receive communications from the DMA. How can I opt-out of all communications?
