The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) today announced the winners of the 2014 DMA Innovation Awards, which — along with the Stars of Search, Personal Connections ECHO Award, and USPS Gold Mailbox Award — will be honored during the DMA2014 Annual Conference & Exhibition, held October 25-30 in San Diego. DMA also honors and celebrates the important sponsorship of Google, The Search Agency, Pitney Bowes, and USPS, which made these awards possible.

The 2014 DMA Innovation Awards are sponsored by Google, a world-changing company whose innovations have shaped the twenty-first century. The Innovation Awards are presented in five categories that mirror the presentation tracks at DMA2014, and celebrate the game-changing products and services that move away from conventional thinking and step outside the box.
This year’s five Innovation Award winners will be honored at the DMA2014 Innovation Awards Ceremony & Reception, Sunday, October 26 at 4:30 p.m. The reception will take place at The Trend, located just outside the Exhibit Hall.

The award honors a long-lasting campaign that strengthened personal connections between customer and company over a period of at least two years.
Pitney Bowes has been working in the direct marketing industry since 1920, helping to connect small-to-midsize firms with the technology solutions of the moment to engage directly with customers, whether by direct mail, call centers, or digital messaging. Judges from Pitney Bowes look over each entry to determine which have shown an effective balance of strategy, creative execution and results, in addition to balancing traditional strategies with customer-driven strategies, and creative with metrics.
The winner will be announced, and the award presented Tuesday, October 28, during the International ECHO Awards Ceremony & Gala.
USPS Gold Mailbox Award, Sponsored by United States Postal Service
The USPS Gold Mailbox Award, sponsored by the United States Postal Service, is given to a campaign that demonstrates creative, effective, and thought-provoking use of direct mail marketing as part of a comprehensive omnichannel strategy.
The USPS, an independent agency of the United States federal government responsible for providing postal service in the United States, has for decades supported companies seeking to advertise and grow their business via mail channels. The ECHO Board of Governors and a representative from the USPS select the award winner among the Gold, Silver and Bronze ECHO Winners.
The winner will be announced and presented with the award Tuesday, October 28 during the International ECHO Awards Ceremony & Gala.
